# Pre-Op Care – Stop Bruising Protocol

## Overview

This protocol helps reduce bruising and bleeding risk before surgery.

## 10 days before surgery – STOP

- Aspirin and baby aspirin
- Ibuprofen
- Naproxen
- Excedrin
- Turmeric
- Vitamin E
- Fish oil
- CoQ10
- Flaxseed
- St. John’s Wort
- All tobacco products
- Alcohol (1–3 days before surgery)

## 7 days before surgery – DO

- Take Arnica Montana every 12 hours.
- Take Bromelain every 12 hours.
- Minimize foods high in salicylates (tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, peppers, apricots, raisins).
- Drink pineapple juice three times daily.
- Eat kale, spinach, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.

These supplements are vitamins, not medications. Dosage depends on the brand.
